Grown in the rich volcanic soils of Kiambu, nestled along Kenya’s famed coffee belt, our single-origin, organic beans offer a rich flavour that speaks to the land it’s from, ensuring full traceability and consistent flavour.
Our coffee is 100% organic and ethically produced using a combination of traditional and scientifically-backed knowledge. We offer two varieties: SL 28 and Ruiru 11.
Our goal is to add value to the source, not just through the coffee we grow but through the opportunities we create. All our factory machinery was designed and built by a local engineer, to deliberately keep technical expertise and job creation within the community. We do not outsource what we can create.

Mbanya Gold began with our great-grandfather, William Mbanya. Born in 1905, William was one of the few educated Africans bold enough to pursue coffee farming at a time when the industry was dominated by colonial settlers.
His passion for the land and its potential defied the odds.
When he passed away, it felt like the rhythm of the farm passed with him. The fields fell quiet. The harvests slowed. The legacy he nurtured nearly disappeared.
But the soil remembered. And so did we.
Years later, here we are answering the land’s quiet call, not just to farm, but to revive a legacy. What began as a tribute has become Mbanya Gold, a symbol of heritage, resilience, and the unmatched richness of African coffee.
